10 Reasons why I might be a Chemistry geek

10# I am usually not sleepy during Chemistry class even though I was deprived of sleep the night before.

9# Chemistry is the only subject I bother to read before class or even study ahead of class. It is also the subject that I bother to do further Internet research

8# My mind could be figuring out a Chem problem when I am in a mall or having dinner

7# There was once I couldn't sleep because I was figuring out a part of Chemistry I didn't fully understand. If it was another subject, I would have said "Bah! There is always tomorrow.."

6# I still think "All alkalis are bases but not all bases are alkalis" is a super cool statement. And I love the toungue twister "Nonanol and nonanoic acid gives you nonanol nonanoate"

5# I take pictures of chemical reactions and I love every lab period of Chemistry

4# Even after numerous times replaying the AC/DC playlist, "T.N.T" is still my favourite song. And the structure pops in my mind everytime I hear the song!

3# I am so tempted to get the book "The Disappearing Spoon" by Sam Kean.

2# In high school, we invented an esterification reaction to represent our close friendship. The reaction involved an alcohol (Elena = Elenol) and an acid (Zhen = Zhenanoic acid) to make Elenyl Zhenanoate(Ester=Esther). The reaction even had a catalyst!-Nickel (Nicole)

1# When I passed by a billboard promoting CUCI musical, the first thing that came into my mind was "Huh, Copper (I) chloride" !!!
