Tonight, I Feel Pretty

Tonight, tonight
It all began tonight
I saw you and the world went away

Tonight, tonight
There's only you tonight
What you are, what you do, what you say
**************************************************
I feel pretty
Oh so pretty
I feel pretty and witty and gay
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me today
I feel charming
Oh so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real
See the pretty girl in that mirror there?
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face
Such a pretty dress
Such a pretty smile
Such a pretty me!

Some of you may know that I, for one never refrain from watching any musicals. Well, at least not until HSM2 came and tainted the beauty of musicals. Musicals is probably my favourite genre of movies. Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, King and I, Hairspray, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Sweeney Todd, Mamma Mia!, Across the Universe..ooh and the list goes on!

Even Glee has become one of my favourite TV shows. I even have a list of "musicals-I-must-watch-before-I-die". I woukd go to the music section of a library or a bookstore and dig out books like "Musicals: The History" or "500 musicals you must watch". I can read or glance through these books forever, then I leave without buying them since I usually can't afford them. =P

But if you notice the long list I had, I missed out one of the most famous musicals. Yes, it's West Side Story. Sigh, for me being such a musical addict, I've only managed to watch this AMAZING musical just an hour ago. It felt like a crime for me to miss out this AWESOME musical from my list. It should have been on my "already watched 300 times" list a long time ago.

It's not like I was not interested to watch it. I wanted to when my dad bought the DVD about 4 years ago. I was so excited to watch it, but my excitement died down when our DVD could not read the disc. Then the disc was misplaced somewhere. Then came SPM and A-Levels and a whole lot of other more important things until the point where I always thought I've watched it.

After we changed the DVD player a couple of times(never buy cheap players) and several reminders from my roommate and some friends, I finally watched it today at the expense of my Maths and Biology work. Was it worth it? DEFINITELY. =P
