They say that "Seeing is believing". But to me, it takes more than just looking to truly believe in something or what a person said. Say there is an accident on the highway, bystanders and onlookers love to take a peek and begin their own speculation about the accident or when to get that 4D number without even knowing the real situation. Thus, if there was something I have learned this week, it was that experiencing or being part of it can only really be used to decide if we believe in it.
I was, like most of us, too wary at first because of what I've heard. But the tension I felt slowly eased down throughout the week. In fact, like my roommate said, it was indeed an eye-opener for most of us in a good sense. We met amazing people who have gone through a lot in life that managed to show us that there is hope if we are willing to look and work for it. Some of us (me included) felt how ignorant we were to things we should have had on our fingertips by now. The last two activities were particularly meaningful, to the point where some of us could no longer hide our emotions.
Apart from that, new friendships were made and the old ones were further strengthened. Overall, I've received a package consisting of meaningful advices wrapped with fun. Oh, and probably a note that says "You should maybe get some sleep after this.=)"
